Yandex Drive – niepozorny gigant wskakuje na „pudło”.

Być może nie wszyscy słyszeli o firmie Yandex, chociaż pisaliśmy o tym gigancie technologicznym z Rosji już kilkukrotnie na naszych łamach. Gwoli przypomnienia, nazywany „Rosyjskim Google-m” Yandex to międzynarodowa korporacja informatyczna założona w 1997 roku w Rosji. W tej chwili Yandex jest właścicielem m.in. największej rosyjskiej wyszukiwarki internetowej, potężnego globalnego operatora samochodowych przewozów osób, ale co szczególnie dla nas istotne – największego carsharingu w Rosji – Yandex Drive. Liderem rosyjskiego rynku Yandex stał się wyprzedzając dotychczasowego lidera Micro Kapital Group będącego właścicielem dwóch znaczących marek usług samochodów na minuty – Delimobil oraz AnyTime, które w zeszłym miesiącu uruchomiło usługę w czeskiej Pradze, wypuszczając na tamtejsze ulice 100 Toyot Yaris.

Usługa carsharingu – Yandex Drive, które działa póki co tylko w Rosji, wlączając w ostatnich miesiącach kolejne setki samochodów na tamtejszy rynek (obecnie Yandex Drive obecne jest w Moskiwe i Sankt-Petersburgu) posiada w swojej wspołdzielonej flocie już 9 500 samochodów, z czego znaczna większość jeździ po ulicach rosyjskiej stolicy. Usługa aut na minuty od Yandexu sukcesywnie rozwija swoją aplikację i system, a dzięki wspomniej ilości samochodów, zajmuje już trzecie miejsce na liście największych carsharingów na świecie (po Car2Go, oraz ZipCar) i nic nie wskazuje na to, aby pogoń za niemieckim i amerykańskim liderem ustała. O skali i rozmachu przedsiębiorstwa niech świadczy fakt, że Yandex Drive zostało wprowadzone na rynek dopiero w lutym … 2018 roku, czyli rok temu z małym nakładem. „Pełnoletni” już ZipCar, oraz świętujące w zeszłym roku dziesięciolecie działalności Car2Go raczej nie mogą spać spokojnie przy takim konkurencie.

Za epilog niech posłuży fakt, że Yandex usilnie testuje autonomiczne samochody, przewidując, że w stosunkowo niedługim czasie będzie w stanie dzięki nim zintegrować swoje dwie wspomniane usługi mobilności: Yandex Drive, oraz Yandex Taxi. Dodatkowym smaczkiem testów jest jeszcze to, że poza Rosją, Yandex testuje autonomię również w Izraelu, oraz w U.S.A.
Jak zatem widać na powyższym przykładzie, szczególnie w carsharingu Rosja odgrywa znacznie większą niż się powszechnie może wydawać rolę.
